The RYA Youth Sailing Scheme is a structured training program for children and young people (generally aged 8-16) designed to teach dinghy sailing through four progressive stages, moving from beginner to confident, independent sailor. The courses focus on safety, fun, and technique, covering topics like boat handling, safety skills, and basic racing.​​

The RYA Level 1 & 2 sailing courses provide a comprehensive introduction to dinghy sailing, covering everything from launching to independent sailing in light-to-medium winds. Level 1 (Start Sailing) introduces basic boat handling and safety, while Level 2 (Basic Skills) builds on these skills to make you a confident, independent sailor
