Perth Sailing Club was formed in 1949 to encourage participation in the sport of dinghy sailing

and to facilitate competitive sailing on the River Tay near Perth.

The club runs a program of events from April to October with a mix of racing and general sailing days. Racing is based on the Portsmouth handicap system allowing boats of different designs to race together. On most race days, two races are run in the immediate vicinity of the clubhouse around high tide.  On Sundays only a single race takes place.

There are also a number of longer races organised where we head down river towards Newburgh and return by sail or under tow depending on conditions.

General sailing days are included in the schedule to allow members to practice their skills

or just enjoy some time on the water without the pressure of racing.
